FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I RECEIVE THE SCANS OF MY NEGATIVES?

We can transfer them to you online via a download link. You may also send us your pen drive to us. If we send you your files online, we will only keep your files on our hard drive for 28 days and then we will delete them.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept bank transfer or cheques through the post. As for members that are using our facilities, it's possible to pay with card.

HOW DO YOUR LOYALTY CARDS WORK?

Complete ten orders with us and get one roll of film developed with us for free! When we send back your developed negatives after your first film development order with us, we will include a loyalty card that is stamped depending on how many orders you have done with us. If there is space on your loyalty card, make sure you remember to send your it back with your next order to get it stamped again.

HOW DO YOU RETURN MY NEGATIVES ONCE YOU DEVELOP THEM?

We will put all of your negatives into paper negative files in between two pieces of cardboard and place them in a "do not bend" envelope. You can either pick them up or we can post them.

WHAT IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY ORDER?

If you are not happy with our services, email us and we will work with you to make it right depending on the situation. Your happiness is the most important thing!

WHAT FORMATS WILL THE FILES BE IN?

Whatever format you like! We can scan them as JPEG or TIFF or anything in between. Generally our low resolution scans will be JPEGs and our high resolution scans will be TIFFs.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY NEGATIVES TO BE DEVELOPED AND SCANNED?

It will depend on how many orders we have at that time but we aim to develop your negatives within 48 hours (excluding Weekends and Bank Holidays) of receiving your film and we will scan your negative within 24 hours of developing your negatives. We will email you if there are any delays. If your film is a high priority for being developed and scanned as quick as possible, please email us.

I'M WORRIED ABOUT THE CONTENT WITH SOME OF MY PHOTOGRAPHS. WHAT IF THEY ARE SENSITIVE?

We will develop your film no matter what as we want to support your projects. If you are worried about your photographs being of a sensitive nature, email us and we can discuss it!

WHEN YOU SCAN MY NEGATIVES WHAT, DO YOU REMOVE THE DUST OR COLOUR CORRECT THEM?

We cannot take the time to complete a spotless clean of the scans and we will only remove large pieces of dust. For colour correction, we will do a very brief edit. If you want a more thorough edit, please ask us and we will negotiate a price. If you want no brief edit and would rather dust and colour correct yourself, please specify this in your order form or in an email.

WHAT ARE MY COPYRIGHT RIGHTS, USAGE RIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS?

The copyright and usage rights will always be held with the original owner of the images or negatives sent to us for development or scanning and we will never use your images without your consent. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter.
